Truly Random?

Is there true random in this world?
Or could there be any possibilities of a mathematical function to explain the term "random"?
If you are interested then, please do not read on...(for i would not be providing such explanations)

The following pictures are truly random in nature...

This is one of the pride of Singapore

If only i was enrolled in this high school...

Meet the PC Lens

Well I have finally (recently) got my hands on a PC (Prospective Control) or some know it as TS (Tilt/Shift) lens.

Meet the Micro-Nikkor PC 85mm f/2.8D Lens.

Revival

10,000 years has past and it is time...

The time has come to revive this blog yet again after 1.5+ years of inavtivity. Please do not assume that I am dead and I have revived in a miracle.

Thank you.

Spare Parts

After upgrading some of the items on my new desktop unit.

I find that I have some spares left (though used)

1x CoolerMaster Aquagate LGA 775 Ready External / Internal Liquid Cooling System. (With alarm and PC auto shut down function should abnormalities be detected)

This unit is avaliable for second hand purchase should anyone be interested ^^

New Desktop

It has been a long time since I have laid my hands on a "respectable" desktop platform.
More than 5 years.

The last Desktop I've built is a Pentium 4 (478) 1.8Ghz with only 256MB DDR SDRAM and a 40GB Hard drive using GeForce 256 DDR (From old Desktop) for my brother 3 years back.

My new desktop specifications are as below:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4Ghz Processor (Conroe)
2x 512 MB Cosair DDR2 RAM (PC-5300)
Gigabyte 965P-DS3P Mainboard
Seagate 320 7200.10 SATA2 Hard Drive
Sony DRU-830A DVD Writer Drive
Leadtek nVidia GeForce 7900GS 256MB Graphic Card

Powered by
Antec Truepower Trio! 430Watt Power Supply Unit

Housed in
CoolerMaster Praetorian RC-730 Aluminium Casing
2x CoolerMaster 12cm Fan with Blue LED
3x CoolerMaster 8cm Fan with Blue LED
2x Artic Cooling 12cm Fan with noise dampening
Swiftech Apogee CPU Waterblock
Swiftech MCP655 1200LPH Pump
Swiftech MicrosMCRES Reservior
Cooltrek Radiator (2x120 Fan Type)
6 Feet Clearflex 1/2" house

I have further plans with this system.
The cooling capacity easily allows overclocking over 3Ghz without much heat related issues with the CPU however this would be limited to the RAM and CHIPSET cooling capacity and their capabilities. In order to push further, I am required to change the RAM and allow implement active cooling on my Northbridge chipset (Either by using Swiftech Waterblock or normal fan heatsink cooler)

Currently I am running the graphic processing unit at 500Mhz Core, 733Mhz Memory.

This graphic processing unit will retire when the nVidia Geforce 8000 series is affordable enough.

There is also a slim change I may run ATi R600 type processing units on Crossfire mode should they be affordable and has performance comparable if not greater than that of their nVidia counterparts.

For now, we shall see.

My Lolita

Lolita Complex refers to older men's attraction to very young girls. While it is certainly not a purely Japanese phenomenon, the term comes after all from Nabokov's novel, it seems to be particularly widespread in Japan, with one survey in Tokyo finding that 75% of high school AND junior high school girls have experienced sexual solicitation by middle-aged men.

Batt

My laptop's life has finally reached the end of th cycle. It lasts a rediculous 15 min now. I thought that it might have been the new hard drive i installed that consumed the power however, upon close inspection it turned out that the new drive only consum 0.42A compared to 0.7 on the old 30GB hard drive by Toshiba.

This basically mean that I will have to spend another 200 dollars for the battrey to make my notebook useful again. Shall I forsake the notebook that serve me so well for the past 4 years plus? Or shall I just invest on an iMac with Intel Duo Core processor?

I think I should ask my wallet.

My wallet says: "Not enough minerals for any of those actions".

Life is sad especially with things like this happening all at once.
